@OV__101 An IUS flight is always fun. Sun probes rarely get much love though. Ulysses, SolarMax, SOHO… there’s no lander, no “surface” to image (you know what I mean), just higher res pics of sunspots, flares and prominences… Not fair, just the way it is.

@GraviticsInc I don’t get it. Inflatables are great for packing density at launch, while hard modules are good for pre-installed equipment and a rigid structure. This seems to be the worst of both worlds. Does the hard shell collapse for launch? What’s the point of this design?

@nabeelqu Companies like Boeing have had this for decades. Anyone doing research can look through old reports, designs and plans and write papers or even whole books on them.

@codyaims Old MiGs are cheap. It’s the FUEL that’s expensive (they are effectively straight turbojets - no bypass to speak of).
