@JackCreature7 @athreya49 Mostly each provincial government not wanting to give up it's potential revenue source and political patronage network. It used to be pretty bad earlier. Finally they signed the Canadian free trade agreement for more harmonization between provinces in 2017.

@athreya49 This is getting discussed because of US tariffs. Many Canadian provinces find it easier to trade internationally than with each other.

@tirumuru_87 who build niche stuff. I personally put it mostly to a lack of understanding of the high tech market as well as a lack of understanding and appreciation of one's own strength and weaknesses at the upper echelons. This includes all stakeholders.
