I was agnostic for years. It took me years to finalise my irreligiosity but, my wife became an atheist in a flash.
This woman went from preaching in church a week before to being an atheist the following week.
I won't lie, her deconstruction was too swift for comfort.
If you are an open atheist in Nigeria, you are much more likely to remain single than the rest of the population. Nigerians take religion very seriously (definitely top two factors) in making spousal choices.
