🚧 Check out this before and after pothole repair that came in as a mySLC request. 😃 We're gearing up for the pothole palooza in March, but we're taking advantage of sunny skies and doing lots of road repairs. You can send a quick thanks to your streets crews on this post!

ALERT: A parking scam via text is asking for payment on a fake Salt Lake City invoice. It’s not from us—delete and don’t engage. No city systems were compromised. Similar scams are happening nationwide. Spread the word! More info at

With no snow in sight, we’re taking a trip down memory lane with our 1928 snowplows. It might look like a tank, but believe it or not, some modern lawnmowers pack more power than this classic machine!

This is a HAWK signal. A high-intensity activated crosswalk beacon. The acronym doesn't make sense to us either 🤷 But on busy streets, HAWK signals help ensure that drivers stop and yield to pedestrians, making it much safer to cross in high-traffic areas.

Hey nerds 🤓 Ever wonder how road signs stay visible at night? That’s retroreflectivity. Instead of scattering light, prismatic materials use total internal reflection to bounce it straight back to the source: your headlights. Road signs used to need external lighting!
