@ZahraniShorouq Why isn't the comprehensible input idea applied in all schools? The business community has not figured out a way of profiting from it.

@plthomasEdD Paul, It's not about improving literacy. It's about profit. Making the rich richer. New text books and worksheets, more seminars, etc. It always "works."

@NancyEBailey1 Too often, "intensive instruction" means boring drill, trying to consciously LEARN complicated rules and vocabulary. There is evidence that these aspects of language can be ACQUIRED from self-selected pleasure reading & listening to interesting stories.
