2.5 I stuck with low-calorie options, and ate small meals that I knew werenβt gonna make me gain, but I didnβt count calories, or put too much pressure on myself.
5. I stopped, freaking out over natural fluctuations. When youβre on your period, or eat a lot of salt, etc. You are going to be bloated, and the number on the scales gonna go up. This is totally normal, and you shouldnβt worry about it.
I was in a plateau around 130 and couldnβt seem to lose the weight. I would binge and restrict and repeat the cycle. Obviously if you βstick to itβ, youβll lose weight. This is a realistic thread for people who donβt want their entire mind only focused on food.
7.5 when I feel more put together, I donβt want to eat as much. If I feel pretty, then I want to keep feeling pretty, and this has really helped to me.
4. I stopped weighing myself every day. I weigh myself once a week, maybe, but donβt worry about the number on the scale. I trust that if I eat, low-calorie options, and continue to prioritize other things, I lose weight.
6. I eat very small meals, and make sure to try and get three things done before I eat when I feel hungry. This could be tidying my room, washing my make up brushes, taking a bath, etc.
7. I wear cute clothes, even if I feel like Iβm too heavy. Often, before you get to your goal weight, you want to wear baggy clothes to cover up. I wear clothes I like anyway, because being dressed, and having make up on, makes me feel a lot more put together.
8. Go outside! Youβll see that when youβre outside, people donβt look the way they look on social media. Most people look normal, and comparing yourself to people online messes with your mind. If you feel unconfident, go on a walk and look at the people around you.
9. Be proud of yourself for even being here. Having an ED is really difficult to deal with. Even if you have gained recently, are bloated, or feel bad, remember that you have already made it this far. Youβre struggling with a mental illness, and youβve survived every bad day.
12. PORTION CONTROL!!!! This is what has helped me the absolute most. I used to crave food that was bad for me, so I would put it off until I binged. If you want pasta, eat pasta! Just make sure your portions are small.
10.5 remember, if youβre eating next to nothing, youβre just as unhealthy as an incredibly fat person. Youβre going to have as many health concerns, etc. Donβt think that you are healthy if you are not eating.
10. I work out as often as I can, being at the gym, makes me seem motivated people who are trying to be healthier. Itβs great motivation, and I love seeing other people trying to improve themselves.
13. Eat slowly, and drink a bunch of water. I started eating my dinner while I journaled to help me eat more slowly. Drinking water while eating, and eating slowly will drastically help you.
16. Reward yourself with things that will last. I used to contemplate spending $30 on a shirt, when I would easily spend that much on a meal that would last 30 minutes. Reward yourself with things that are going to last, and make you happy.
14. Remember that thereβs more to life than your weight. Having an eating disorder usually isnβt about the weight at all, enjoy your life at every step of the process. I recognize that food isnβt an enemy. Iβm still disordered and donβt eat much so I can lose weightβ-
15. GET A JOB. If you havenβt eaten disorder, you want to be the best around you. If you have a job, youβll be very busy and wonβt think about food as much, and youβll also focus on performing better than your coworkers. Doing, this will help you forget about food.
15.5 iβm a waitress at a sports bar, and honestly seeing greasy wings and fries (and the people who eat them) motivates me a lot. Moving gracefully, and seeing all of the compliments and tips makes me happy and motivated.
14.5 β but I do it because I think itβll increase my quality of life. If your eating disorder is ruining you, then try to not focus on it. Itβs HARD, and Iβm still in the process of figuring it all out.
@notsarain
All the comments talking about how sheβs old enough to be treated like garbage by random insecure girls about something that had nothing to do with anyone else????? Age isnβt the problem here lmao
@cupidyohane
They get to smile and pretend to be kids for men to make money, saying it fine while there are so many children forced into sex work/ trafficked because of porn culture
@wraithpixie
Used to be baggy but GUYS start wearing cute clothes all the time!!!!!! Itβll make you 10000x better at not eating lmao because baggy clothes = no shame imo
@truskawca
@D3NTiSM
Nah, social media is making kinds grow up too fast because they feel like they arenβt worthy of respect until they are. And it ruins peopleβs lives and makes them wish they didnβt waste their youth once theyβre older

@calorierefuser
He was severely underweight in love with a straight guy before any of it and I defff think he wanted to feel more βfeminineβ but also had a disgusting home life which made it worse
Massive binge cycle and gained a ton. Body check so please roast the shit out of me and tell me how fucking disgusting I look so I can get back on track
People really think theyβre funny βscaringβ us with pictures of food. Iβm just going to send you a picture of a treadmill next time you fat fuck. thatβs your fucking arch nemesis apparently
@mortliect
Also they were talking about the people doing these things too. Not the responses. They were saying that people shouldnβt be doing or arguing about it here.
@starvethen
Work out, eat less. Even if you binge sometimes, you canβt just give up after a binge. Youβre still moving in a positive direction. Like itβs literally that simple
@girlbIoger
@slitzwhores
This is a good thing! Then you can realize that when you feel chubbier after binging or drinking, you havenβt actually gained the weight!!
Am I the only one that gets annoyed when people say, β oh Taco Bell, Olive Garden, McDonaldβs arenβt authentic.β Like yes I know. Iβm not going to Olive Garden to get a 5 star Italian feast. Iβm going so a depressed teenager can be disgusted by how many breadsticks I eat
@mortliect
I think OP is just saying that people are forgetting the point of this safe space. These are issues that need to be addressed, absolutely. But maybe not On 3ating d1sorder twt.
Has anyone else seen the CRINGEY quote that says βthe more you weigh, the harder you are to kidnap. Stay safe, eat cakeβ like anyone would want to kidnap someone that ugly... The people that actually get chosen are skinny, now cows π

Agreed but also it may be for others without an Ed. Like you would never want anyone to become Anorexic, but you can find pleasure in it with others with an ed
