Side note: I genuinely acknowledge commentary how taxing this can be to mental wellbeing. However, when I personally look back, all I feel is a profound, immense gratitude for my teenage self, who worked SO intensely & pushed herself to the extreme in her academic studies.
If you go on the Brampton Manor reddit subs, a lot of the students on there talk about how everyone comes in from 6am to revise and the atmosphere is what motivates everyone to do well. Normal students will feel left out if they don’t come in early to get work done

Subhanallah! It served as a reminder for me to consistently make dua for my ancestors, especially those whose identities are unknown with no living relatives to seek Allah's mercy for them. To also make dua for the prosperity of my future descendants.
Subhanallah! Omar Suleiman's second episode of his Ramadan series really had me reflecting on my own life. Could it be that my Caribbean grandparents' conversion to Islam is the answered dua of my enslaved ancestors who were worried about their future generations losing Islam?

My GP doc on placement made me do my 1st ever full history taking/ consultation for a patient and it was a child😅 but she was impressed and said “you have a really gentle, kind aura and this is why you should consider doing paediatrics or obs/gynae!” Absolutely made my day🥺🥺🥺

Having been someone who attended an extremely deprived sixth form, I know the struggles of a lack of guidance, dealing with discouragement and having to work 10x harder than your counterparts to get there. Now imagine all that stripped away because of blatant classism.
Formerly straight A pupil from a deprived area who ended up with Cs and Ds:
