i've always used hardpads because my arm always got stuck to cloth pads regardless if i used a sleeve, but i think i finally have a solution:
uhmwpe tape!! i've used it before as mouse skates but i never thought to put it on an arm sleeve to allow it to glide on the pad smoothly

i've been using the cloth skates + glass pad for a few days now, and i'm starting to like it as more than just a joke..

second day on the sp-004! it's growing on me more, it's really cozy and smooth c:
wrist/ftip adjustments are getting rly clean, but my stability post-flick is bad and arm aim is a lot shakier than normal. this thing punishes unwanted tension sooo much, i think it's good for me!

i got a keychron m4 since i love ftip mice and i'm rly impressed with this thing!!
i was mostly interested in the shape: it's the first ftip mouse that has some comfort curves, namely an inwards curve towards the middle and a flare in the back (1/3)

i got an sp-004! it's insanely fast, i'll post some progress videos daily for the next week to see if i can stabilize haha
when i was first pitched glass pads 3 years ago, i was told if i tensed it would create visible shakiness, which lets me be more aware of when i'm tensing.

diabotical rogue is more "afps inspired" than being actual quakelike, and the combat style reminds me more of something like Gundam Evolution. limited air control and a few movement options that have a decent amount of versatility, but featuring a really satisfying (1/5)

ttk where you get the skillful dodging interactions of games like apex, but they don't feel overly drawn out. when you aim well, people die.
to me, this game is more geared towards aimers than quake players, mostly bc of the headshot hitbox and movement style. (2/5)

i've used a commercial sleeve that had some sheets of ptfe attached, and this blows it out of the water tbh,, i don't feel the tape through the sleeve at all and it stays on pretty well
also pretty cheap and easy to apply/reapply

i've tried a lot of stupid stuff to try and get my pinky to be a bit more comfortable with this grip (sensor rotation/taping a lego piece on), and this mouse is delivering so far!! by far the most comfortable ftip mouse to hold (2/3)

both me and viscose have had some issues with transitioning between arm/wrist aim on this pad, so this was pretty good practice ^^
might be bc the friction on the arm is quite high compared to the friction on the mouse, but this sleeve feels quite nice for it surprisingly

the ability to leverage aim by headshot tracking or chaining headshots with revolvers/snipers is SO satisfying and something you can't really do in quakelikes. it's a style of aim akin to OW. if you don't go into this expecting an afps it helps the movement make sense. (3/5)

as someone who does this, has tried several grips, and has watched way too much fps gameplay:
it's not necessary. your fingers can be involved in the aiming process without having to physically move the mouse with them.

it can be a blessing because facing a bunch of rocket players is kinda miserable and sometimes they will just not get the rng for it LOL
but all in all the game feels very fair; it runs like BUTTER and the engine is incredibly responsive as u would expect from the dbt engine

i think gunfire reborn is an underrated game for aim nerds, just rly satisfying mechanically
while there is a lot of build variety and a lot of them can avoid shooting altogether, you can build for infinite ammo and tracking weapons and have fun with stuff like this :3

the roguelike mechanics i could take or leave. sometimes it's fun to get an interesting build and i have never felt like i've lost a fight bc of a build diff. the random weapons are a little bit awful though; if i didn't like all of scout's weapons i'd prolly be pretty mad (4/5)

the grip width of this mouse is quite small though, so i think this is rly only for ppl with small hands.
my only complaint is that the deepest part of the comfort curve is behind the sensor, which is making it a little awkward to know where to grip. but amazing for the price!

- reviews are cut off before char limit on mouse page
- can't view more reviews after the first page
- every color of the product has its own page, ratings don't mean as much

for me a lot of it came from feeling like streaming was a performance, so i had to provide value either through good conversation or very strong gameplay, so providing another reason to watch on top of that can help to ease that anxiety
like streaming with a friend in vc :3 ^_^
