Time for my annual Luca pilgrimage. Gravity still takes me, years later 💜💙💜💙
(Also, friendly reminder that Luca fanart automatically counts as Pride art)

"Ciao Alberto" has been out for a few days and I feel the need to nerd about all the lovely little things I found in it.
Here beginneth a thread. Spoilers ahead.
These clouds bookend the film. In the first shot, they're apart and uneven. In the last shot, they've leveled with each other and come together.
Just like some characters we know.
Usually, Alberto dries off quickly once out of water, but here he stays in fish form for the whole scene. Really smart choice by the filmmakers to visualize his alienation from Massimo.
Hard cut from "Massimo tells me everything" to Massimo telling him nothing. Writing, editing, framing, and music team up to tell this joke, and it's great.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my ted talk. Feel free to add to the list.
And big thanks to
@kennnajean
and everyone who worked on the short. The love and creativity you put into it really shines through 💜🐟
@yodelui
this is such a brilliant idea! I so wish it had made it to animation and lighting. Wondering: were any tests done of what it might have looked like?

Looking forward to the episode where the turtles have to sneak out of detention to stop a crime and then sneak back in before the teacher notices they're gone.
