English food might be bland but it allows one to actually taste the food being offered. Apologies i didn't have any beans 😂 although i prefer fried tomatoes.(Take my passport away)

I’ve never in my life been so bored like here in Sydney. Getting to know people is hard, unless you’re white and like hanging at the pub and/or have sh1tload of $$ to hang at sailing or golf clubs. People have their lives: if you move here be prepared to struggle to integrate.

After these couple of weeks in Thailand I realize how easy is for a first timer family traveler to actually end up hating the country. Imagine you end up in an hotel in lower Suk, and then perhaps have a week in Patong, renting watercraft on the beach, or scammed by taxi mafia.

I already compared Thailand and Fiji as tourist destinations but in the meantime I’ve built additional insights. 🇫🇯 is simply cleaner than 🇹🇭. Beaches are pristine, no rubbish anywhere, people actually care about environment.

There’s extreme shortage of rental units and people bid each others. Agents are vultures who don’t even bother to clean the units for inspection.

Four tourists tried to negotiate a discount of THB 100 on kayak rental. That’s THB25 per person, 0.7 US$, WTAF! They were very pressing but the Thai staff was very polite in declining. I helped closing the deal vouching for the kayak’s quality and safety. And I won a free beer😂.
