Bangalore Derby Day 2022; a sound Once You Go Black is withdrawn erroneously by the BTC vet (the committee apologised and has since rectified their SOP). Fast forward to Bangalore Derby Day 2024, coming off a setback in the winter Once You Go Black smashes the 1400 Metre track

Key players in BTC winning its court battle are KROA & KTA,headed by S.Padmanabhan & Loknath Gowda,receptively.
Committee’s of all clubs should appreciate the importance of strong heads of racing bodies & strengthen them rather than be at loggerheads.
All credit to the BTC committee & in particular the chairman. Had the judgement gone the other way the entire racing community would have attacked him for taking the Govt. on.
While the fight is not yet over this is a landmark judgement which will help all race clubs in future.

•The committee of a club, cannot resign without notice at the suggestion of the Govt. An EGM has been called with a mandatory 21 day notice to map the way forward
•Talks are currently on with the Govt & a breakthrough is not ruled out.
