OpenAI letting the US government host models on US government infrastructure to assuage security/privacy concerns + the worry around DeepSeek storing all data on Chinese servers is making the privacy story for LLM deployment pretty interesting.

📢 Today we're announcing ChatGPT Gov, a version of ChatGPT that government agencies can deploy in their own MS Azure commercial or government cloud environment. Enabling the public sector, especially the U.S. Federal government, to leverage ChatGPT is critical to maintaining America’s global leadership in AI. We see enormous potential for these tools to support the public sector in tackling complex challenges—from improving public health and infrastructure to strengthening national security 🇺🇸

@gnukeith hey Keith, Brave prioritizes privacy features that can be default-enabled for everyone and minimize users having to toggle settings, which has been a distinguishing factor for us vs Firefox et al. Users increase their identifiability when they enable one-off settings.
