Sandhagen ate 1 (one) clean power punch in the whole fight. Sean did more damage and his fight was more fun objectively but cory was by definition more dominant and its not close
Anybody who has ever experienced herniated discs/radiculopathy knows that while aljo may not have been knocked out, he was in indescribable pain. Shut up.
Cory Sandhagen Punishing Reactions. (Thread)
Much of Sandhagen’s best work is on the counter, but that does not make him one dimensional. In fact, he frequently fights on the lead, trying to force a reaction out of his opponent, and it is this reaction that he counters.
Cory Sandhagen goes off on Chito Vera
- Says he had no business being in there with O’Malley
- Calls Chito Vera “homeless looking”
- Says he feels dumb for buying into the “Chito Hype”, because that’s what all of his fights look like unless he gets a knockout
- Says Chito
Sandhagen’s jab serves many purposes, he uses it to enter and gauge distance, build combos, and exit the pocket, but in this thread, I want to focus on how he uses it to make his opponent do something that he can counter.
Sorry folks, I jumped the gun, I couldn't get a hold of my manager for a few days. I just spoke with him and Hunter. Misunderstanding on my part. Fight is on! See you March 9th Miami!!!
@TLSmma
Yeah I can’t make fun of Izzy for being boring this time. Felt like the last kamaru fight where he was proving his p4p status through domination and got caught at 3-1
The last purely defensive move a fighter can make to avoid Sandhagen’s jab is to simply retreat. As a fighter moves out of punching range, he leaves his trailing leg withing kicking distance, and Sandhagen takes advantage of this. From southpaw he also uses the rear body kick.
Slipping is a great way to avoid straight punches, however if poorly timed the fighter slipping can lean into a hook, creating a collision. And this is precisely what happened MULTIPLE times in Sandhagen’s fight against Dillashaw. Here are a few:
When fighters lose
"I'm sad, he hit me harder than I hit him"
"I should of beat him up"
You're half naked fighting a man for shit pay. Were clowns... You live in a make believe world.... Just shut up get back in the gym, make your money and move on....
After the jab, the left hook to the liver seems to be Sandhagen’s favorite punch. He uses them frequently to punish fighters as they raise their guard to block his jab.

Imagine if someone challenged you to a chess match but said you werent allowed to use your bishop. You probably wouldnt agree either, its absurd to even propose that.
-says dc isn’t undisputed lhw champ bc nobody beat jones before he vacated
-says Francis isn’t undisputed lhw champ even though nobody beat Francis before he vacated
Room temp iq
I found an interview of Francis talking about he’ll forever be the undisputed champion because no one beat him. Once I saw that, my tone changed. I thought I would tell how I really felt. He did make the right decision, he left before I came back. Smart move!
I controlled the outcome of dustins fight. I can’t release details at this time but if you have a fighter you absolutely need to win a fight let me know and ill see what i can do. 💯
