A sad weekend at the shelter - we said goodbye to one of our permanent residents, yard cat Twirly. He became ill and the vet found he had a cancerous lump in his stomach. He was around 17 years old, a real character and much loved by everyone. Sleep peacefully lovely boy 🌈💕😿

Rudolph arrived at the shelter as a stray - after checking for a microchip it was discovered he’d been missing from home for 4 years, and today was reunited with his family 😸 What a lovely Christmas present

Although the shelter is closed to visitors life still goes on for the cats. There’s feeding and cleaning to be done, and looking after the cats welfare. Kermit had his daily walk around the unit, he’s such a chatty boy - he’s done so well 😸

This morning these three very poorly kittens were dumped at the end of our drive in a cardboard box! They clearly have flu and bad eye infections and are starving. When will people realise that neutering is so important... 😿

Masala Chai arrived at the shelter in January, a senior lady who’d been trying to survive on the streets. She found a lovely home to retire to - and it turned out she was a he! The update picture shows how well he’s getting on in his new home and receiving lots of loving care 😸
