When you have well researched and selected ministers this is the kind of leadership obtained, which gives the nation the direction to achieve great power. Alas we aspire to be a great power with a clueless leadership which is found floundering till date.

The US deportation based on available media reports, indicates... WE HAVE LOST THE RIGHT TO CALL OURSELVES VISHWAGURU OR A SOVERIGN to the world. The govts lack of effective response, alas, leaves much to accept any other theory. Sad and belittling. Hope it changes.

The main cause of failure of our urbanisation process is that we want urbanisation by moving the uneducated and unskilled to cities from villages. To have successful urbanisation there is critical need to strengthen the education and skill development infrastructure in villages.

This issue has become critical in Bihar
One of the days while we were staying in the US, we were watching a movie inside our apartment house. It must be around 11 pm at night. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, and as we opened the door, we found a well dressed policeman standing right up there. Seeing a policeman at your door steps at midnight generally isn't a good sign, atleast in India. "Can you lower the volume of your TV?", he suggested in a polite, yet firm, voice. "This is beyond the decibel limit allowed in this society. Neighbours are getting disturbed." We immediately obeyed the orders. And that also made all of us think about the systems that are in place in this country. Someone must have heard a tiny noise outside the house, and must have complained. The police registered the complaint and the policeman promptly came for such a complaint - all alien things in India.

@malpani Primarily because the Western world looks at a politician as their "representative" while in India we call them "leader" although they have no leadership qualities. That is why these "leaders" need protection from those they lead.
