One super useful resource I found while preparing for Step 1 was Mehlman Medical’s Free Stuff/HY pdf notes that are available on the official website. They can be used for USMLE Step 1/2 CK to review things quickly, especially the HY Arrows file.

What’s worse than getting a generic LOR? Paying thousands of dollars as an IMG so that someone can write you the exact same letter and many have it waived so no applicant essentially finds out.
at this point after more than 20 years as a program director, I have seen letter writers who ruin the applicants chances by saying zero things meaningful about the candidate. Some writers send the exact same letter which is only different by the name of the candidate.

I met two very sweet boys, 13 & 12, today at the park. They both were obese and found it very hard to run or walk. It saddened me to see how one of them was rather depressed & kept taking breaks but the other boy continued to lift him.
