THAT'S A FIRST ON MARS! Curiosity ran over a rock and found crystals inside! It's pure sulfur. Elemental sulfur is something we’ve never seen before on Mars. We don't know much about these yellow crystals yet, but the team is already at work to figure it out! NASA/JPL-Caltech

@UAPdimension Actually, it's not. We see those a lot in the same type of environments on Earth, Mineralization, fractures, and remineralization. These are sedimentary processes that result in very interesting features. Same for the latest.

💥☄️The team searching for pieces of the small meteor that fell in Normandy just found debris. Right is Peter Jenniskens, one of our researchers at the SETI Institute. Peter's CAMS system monitors meteors , allowing to calculate and predict trajectories.

There are other observations, such as the combination of hydrogen and carbon dioxide in the ocean of Enceladus, which represents chemical energy that could support life, that makes this discovery even more intriguing. It's about time to go back there...

JWST detected polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in SPT-S J041839-4751.9 (SPT0418-47 for short), a galaxy observed less than 1.5 billion years after the Big Bang — the most distant galaxy in which these molecules are now known to exist. Read here:

This is crazy! I processed the JWST image to bring up the faintest objects. Forget about being able to count the number of galaxies. You think the large ones are awesome? Look again...There is hardly a mm of that pix that's not covered by a dot. We are on for a wild ride!

Here is our beautiful planet from up high! I made a short trip to San Diego yesterday to meet with students. The sky over the Pacific was completely blanketed in marine layer for the whole flight. This was stunning at times, like on this shot. Image credit: Nathalie A. Cabrol.
