My appeal to all:.Please get Vit D, B12 & Iron tested. Meet a dr with the lab report if deficiency is seen.Check these annually or 2 times a year.It's a money well invested. My appeal to all Dr:.Please ask for Vit D, B12 & iron in all patients when the lab tests are asked for.

I got diabetes .Scanned the Internet.Came across Ketogenic diet .Adopted it in 3 months of diagnosis .Hba1c from 7.2 to 4.7.Never looked back .Dumped those herbal stuff I used to take initially . Consult a dietitian? .Never. Who wants a high carb + pills + hypo + 6-7 meals/ day?.
No, seriously, if you need a therapeutic diet, please don't get it from Twitter or YouTube. Go see a dietitian. Celiac, cardiac and diabetes patients, families with PKU, seizures that need keto, please see a dietitian.

Anup @dlifein and me worked on a cancer case. This case had a brain tumour surgery done & was on chemotherapy. Pure vegetarian & no eggs also. His Hba1c was 6.9 in Jul’23. We gave a vegetarian low carb higher protein diet in the month of Aug’23. His Hba1c is 4.9 in Jan'24

I was always a vegetarian. I did have eggs as a kid but this was for a brief period & then occasionally only. But when I was diagnoses with Type 2 diabetes i shifted to higher protein diet & included eggs. This was thanks to Anup @dlifein that I learnt low carb. I did a good.

From my traveling days. I have used an omelet as roti to have baingan bartha. My usual dinner. Only the vegetable will change or just eliminated. The hotel staff used to pity me for not ordering phulkas 😀😀😀.@dlifein
