Alberta minister Matt Jones just posted on FaceBook that the Alberta government is turning down the federal government's offer to extend the child care funding agreements due to expire soon. Shame. Time to pressure all p/t governments to say yes to more affordable child care.

Great evidence from PEI to show that recent federal/provincial investments in child care have made a significant improvement (cos' it used to be worse): more spaces, better ECE wages, lower fees for families AND more quality programs are required which is exactly why the $10aDay Plan has to be maintained and expanded.

Marineland has euthanized a seven-year-old beluga whale after a long battle with several different medical conditions, making it the 18th such whale to die at the Niagara Falls, Ont., tourist attraction since 2019.
