Experiences with HH Jagadguru Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Mahaswamigal.
During last year’s chathurmasyam, I went to Kashi to have His dharshan.
I had made it a point in 2020 to have His dharshan every chathurmasyam - come what may.
But I had a bigger reason this time.

Mom was checked @ a screening centre in Ekkattuthangal. The corp officials were super considerate - picked & dropped her up back at our doorstep.
She was given a lunch kit from Writer’s Cafe at the screening centre!

My wife chants Ramayanam everyday and HH Jagadguru Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Mahaswamigal had asked my wife to write Sri Ramajayam 24,000 times before our wedding. On top these reasons, considering the homecoming for Ramar, we have named the baby Seethalakshmi. 🙏😊
On 4th March 2024, Moola nakshatram, my wife & I were blessed with a baby girl.
With the anugrahams of the Kanchi Kamakoti Guru Parampara, both the mother & the baby are doing well. 🙏
Will soon share an experience wife & I had with HH Balaperiyava last year in April. 😊🙏

Today is the Sanyasa Sveekaram Day of HH BalaPeriyava, Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Mahaswamigal.
In 1983, at the tender age of 13, He left all the worldly pleasures& took up sanyasa to become the 70th acharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. 🙏🙏🙏

I was standing all the way back, my hands in 🙏 looking at Him.
A minute or so later, He scanned the entire crowd, and looked at me. He folded His hands like how you cradle a baby and then raised both His hands to 🙌 to give His anugrahams to the baby and smiled.

My joy knew no bounds. I was in tears.
Initially seeing the crowd, I was not certain I would have a chance to even speak to Him, but this blessing was least expected.

I told Him ‘Ponnu Periyava - Seethalakshmi’.
He said ‘Ah!’ hearing the name with a beaming smile and gave prasadams.

I was in tears.
I told the news to Him once in fleeting moment amidst a large crowd, but He blessed me not once, not twice but thrice!
That evening I flew back to Chennai.

Around 7 AM, there was a massive crowd, but I managed to tell Him the news. He smiled& blessed me with kumkumam& asked me to collect the Saffron that was offered to Mahatirupurasundari by HH Himself.
The saffron was for my wife to take& He asked her to chant a shloka everyday.

I called my family back home, and sat down for the Chandramouleeswara Pooja.
It was around 11:30 AM when He came for the pooja and it got over around 4 PM.
As soon as He got up from the Pooja Mandapam, He did a pradhakshanam, and a massive crowd had flocked to speak to Him.

Six months later, on 16/3/2024, a day after the punyavachanam, I rushed to Tirupati camp to tell Him.
By the time I reached, around 7:15 AM, He was in the pooja already. I sat through the pooja and as soon as He got up from the pooja, He looked at me and asked ‘Enna vishiyam?’

My wife was pregnant, I wanted to tell Him and get His anugrahams.
After landing in Kashi, I rushed to my hotel room. Took a bath in the Holy Ganga, did my anushtanams and rushed to the camp.
The camp was packed with devotees from all over the country.

The next day in the camp was routine. Took bath in the Ganga, sat through the trikala pooja, spent the whole day in the camp and retired to my room.
The following day was my last day in the camp. I woke up around 4:30 AM, took bath in the Ganga, and rushed to the camp.

I had booked a bus from Chennai to Bangalore on an extremely busy weekend. The bus dropped me off in Bengaluru at 3:30 AM and Uber to my place was around 650 rupees. I quickly checked and there was a bike nearby. Went home in a bounce scooty. Spend 60 odd rupees. :)

Not only was he very happy that we had followed his advice, but also extremely understanding of a young married couple.
He blessed us with prasadams, a photo of Kamakshi and told everyone gathered that we got married in a 5-day ritual as per His wishes.
