Another great annual family trip to the seaside 🏖️🌊☀️

The best part of the day was jumping over the waves and getting a little wet! What a brilliant day in Filey!

Oh I do love to be beside the seaside! Year 2 certainly did at Filey. The children loved playing in the sand and building sandcastles.

Sometimes the tenacity, generosity and commitment of our parents is overwhelming. Being able to learn from and with them creates a tangible sense of privilege among our team. Today was the start of another special parent led project. #sharedreading #participatoryactionresearch

Year 3 had an inspiring morning with the brilliant Chris Mould! From hearing his journey from Bradford to becoming a renowned author & illustrator, to taking part in a live art class- our pupils listened, learned & let their creativity shine. Amazing work, Year 3! 🎨📚

Huge well done to our amazing Pupil Voice reps who confidently led today’s assembly! A celebration of their fantastic leadership all year and the launch of Project ARK- encouraging everyone to spread Acts of Random Kindness and end the year on a high!

The Year 2 children took a trip to Roundhay Park and Tropical World last week. We observed different plants and found out what it might be like in a rainforest. We explored the layers of the rainforest and some of the animals and realised just how hot it might be in there!

Our Year 1 children had such a fantastic day at Cannon Hall Farm before the half term. We spotted lots of mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish. It was so exciting to feed some animals and cheer on the sheep in their race!

Before the holidays Year 1 children celebrated 'Children's Day' in their classrooms. Parents came in and we played both old and new games together. We even had the sunshine too! What a great afternoon.
