@chr_iswong in terms of what you've written, it doesn't sound like there's a pathway for beings who can't understand a human language, or who have the executive function to diligently follow contemplative practices to find their way to liberation

@chr_iswong i appreciate this thread! fascinating to learn about trauma responses in animals i think that animals having trauma that needs discharging is evidence in favor of animals having the capacity to suffer. i also think a conscious being can suffer without having undischarged trauma
