Unbelievable the people celebrating this or chastising this. These kids should be playing with emotion. It’s a sad situation, he’s probably out for the year.
It’s not stealing if I do it out of respect, right
@ConorHughes67
? We are certainly not at the level of the Cadets at West Pointe, but we will get there!
This is what makes it worth it. Watching boys grow into young men.
@RussDickinson1
was put in an incredibly challenging position and he more than rose to the occasion. I’ve got no doubt he can continue to lead us to an incredible season.
Hire qualified strength coaches. This should be mandatory at all public schools in the US. This is beyond unacceptable and should never happen with the resources available in 2024.
After 40 years - last day as strength coach at Ben Davis High School - the next chapter in life begins now.
(One of my students talked me into this picture)
My time at Toronto has come to an end. Some of my greatest accomplishments and proudest moments have come in this 400sq ft “multi-purpose” room. A culture was built, and I hope it continues to grow now that I’m moving on.
@Warhawks_WCHS
and
@Coach_Franke
let’s get to work.
Sometimes it’s about just learning to be tougher than the workout, the young guys pushed through to finish the week strong. We don’t call them Frosh/JVs. We call them “Futures”. Because that’s what they are.
I have always had a personal rule that I don’t train with my athletes. Since I’m technically no longer their coach, I trained with them today. They’re what I’m proud of. Watching them grow up has been an honor.
Great day with the Warhawks in the weight room, always a great sign when an optional workout packs the facility!
Good energy in the room and some good numbers went up!
Fullback behavior. My main main Spencer Board hitting his 7th set of one at the top of our eccentric block. Tempo 10-1-0.

There’s also a large sector of baseball stuck in their old ways…don’t lift in season…squats and dead’s bad…etc. just depends on where you look.

Lia Thomas isn’t post op. Just takes hormones. It was cited in the letter from her team to the NCAA that her teammates were uncomfortable with her being in the locker room because she was still biologically male. I’m sure you can infer what this means.
AQ banged up his hand during camp on this day, so I challenged him to doing his pushups with one hand. And he sure did.
This has become my most popular video on the Warhawk Tough Instagram by far, with over 30k views.

Think you wanna coach in HS? I had a guy come to me at our post game practice today and inform me that we “better get our kicking situation sorted out”. This,after we won by 26pt against a rival last night. Oh, our kicker was hurt and we had our QB/ILB kicking.

The best, and worst, part of coaching are two sides of the same coin. Helping to raise many sons in a small town is a joy and a blessing. But tragedy, and the loss of one of those many sons is never something you’re prepared for, and it gets no easier.

Stated asking myself if I’m not communicating properly when guys appear to be “not listening” or “not paying attention”. Suddenly I was yelling far less and my relationships with my guys got a lot better.
I have been watching
@Kamryn_Baker_5
run the ball since he was eight years old. This may be my favorite yet. Two nasty stiffies and a cutback at the end. Vision, quickness, strength.
Introducing your 2023 Drummond Award Winner
@BouschD
of Toronto signifying the top playmaker of the season!
Bouscher was the Red Knights’ leading rusher with 889 yards and 11 TDs while averaging 10.2 YPC. He added 581 receiving yards and 4 TDs to total 1,534 all-purpose yards.
You have to appreciate a kid like Cale. He’s quiet and has a blue collar work ethic. He never complains and always has a “yes sir, no sir” attitude. I know how hard he’s worked to get his squat where it is and I could not be more proud.
Good to see that those that know what’s up recognize the hard work Coach puts in. It’s a 24/7/365 job for him. It’s football season all year round for our whole staff.
Coach, I can appreciate “SEEING” what you do for ALL OF YOUR PLAYERS. I hear local coaches “SAY” what they do for their kids, but YOU “SHOW” what you do for your PLAYERS‼️
Respect & best of luck the rest of the way. 🫱🏽🫲🏻
There was a time 5 years back when I wanted to be stronger. So I did steroids. Things outside of the gym didn’t go well so I quit steroids and the gym. Now I do
@CrossFit
and as of tonight, I’m exactly as strong as I was on steroids. But so much healthier.

Injuries are part of the game, and this one was probably the hardest one to experience as a coach. We will get Zeb back, rehabbed, and stronger than ever. I’d hate to be on the other side of the field from him in 2024.
I don’t think the average young man (19-30)realizes how strong he can become naturally. The trick is to keep training after you have “nothing” to train for. Life is the ultimate game, you have to train for it.
@clh_strength
Baseball is the most ludicrous sport. People think because it’s not a collision sport like football that you can play infinity games to no detriment. Change my mind.
HS Strength guys will all get this. It’s the best job on earth but man is it entertaining…I have recently said this to a freshman ….. “son how come every time I see you you’re buried under a bar?”
@josedavis5
Keep in mind that keeping the volume low and effort high doesn’t tax the legs as previously believed. Low volume can be prescribed at a very high percentage and have little affect on muscle fatigue. CNS fatigue
becomes the concern.

This is why I hate S/C twitter. Scroll on if you don’t like it. You don’t have to tell the whole world how dumb Army is and how smart you are, you can just ignore it. If it’s good enough for the Cadets at West Point, it’s good enough for my D7 (smallest) High School team in OH.
