Not a lot of surprises here. Bryce Eldridge is the big name. I’m a little surprised we don’t see Lou Trivino, whose signing was reported yesterday, but no official details have come out. No outfielders, but the Giants already have a ton on the 40.

The 34-year old Lou Trivino has had a good MLB career, but hasn’t pitched in the bigs since TJ surgery in 2023. Reports say he’s looking healthy and should be a real option to make the bullpen early this season, if not directly out of Spring Training.

Oslevis Basabe is an interesting pickup for the #SFGiants. He obviously gives them extra shortstop depth at the big league level, but was ranked as the Rays #7 prospect going into 2024 before a rough year. His upside may only be as a utility guy, but that’s not bad for cash only
The Giants acquired INF Osleivis Basabe from the Tampa Bay Rays for cash considerations, the team announced.

The way NBA fans are talking about how relieved they are they don’t have to hear about Jimmy Butler rumors anymore is how I feel about this. I didn’t think he would be a good fit on the Giants beyond one year, and the cost was too high in money and picks.

Funnily enough, the Dodgers prospects will host a game at Glendale, after a game that doesn't even feature the Dodgers! Their Spring Training roommates (the White Sox) will be hosting the big league game ahead of their Spring Breakout.
