We are so fixated on what we can do for God, having been programmed to work for Him to gain approval, relevance, and purpose. But the model of Christianity is about what God does for us—how He gives us grace, wisdom, and energy to co-create with Him. It’s not a master-servant relationship. Rather, it’s multi-dimensional: Father, Brother, and Friend. When you discover this about God, you won’t fear committing your life to Him. You won’t be anxious about losing your independence. Instead, you’ll be excited that He is offering you gifts, enriching your life, and ultimately giving you purpose. There is nothing good for you that He will ask you to give up, and nothing harmful that He will allow you to keep. He loves you too much. Stop "working" for God. It’s draining, boring, and hard. Start co-creating with Him instead.
