Very big smile on my face when I saw Shuhei Fukuda (福田周平) credited on today's HeroAca episode. I was doubting that we'd ever see him on the franchise again but our calls have been answered. The water effects and BG animation are especially satisfying to watch.

Really cool starting episode to HeroAca S7. Directed by Bones veteran Ikuro Sato 佐藤 育郎 and boarded by new Series Director Naomi Nakayama 中山 奈緒美, it makes for a really solid premiere.

Absolutely jaw-dropping work from Yuki Hayashi (林 祐己) on the Mob Psycho finale. He's been one of my favourite animators to follow for a very long time and it's always a joy to see him continuously one-up himself.

As has become tradition, Yuki Hayashi supervised the climax of the movie, which is apparent because of how big Deku's eyes get, but also because of the quality of the drawings and the layouts. Thankfully, he had an arsenal of top animators that were able to help him.

Since the 2nd season, Haruka Iida (飯田 遥) has been one of Heroaca's most consistent and reliable animators. Having her direct, storyboard and key animate the newest ED under Yuki Hayashi's superb animation direction feels incredible deserved for her.

I love how realistic this is. The people aren't going crazy over it, they just said "dang, guess it's over for him", and they're going on with their day. Ofc there will be people taking it to the extreme but the fact that these types of people were shown too is super cool.

Haruka Iida (飯田 遥) participated on this week's Heroaca (likely her last for the season) and she once again delivers an amazing sequence. Yutaka Nakamura (中村 豊) also did some 2nd KA for the first few cuts of her sequence and the end result is pretty awesome.

Just from the first few frames of the episode, you can tell that there is something different about this episode. It's very rare that Mob Psycho shifts to such a serious, almost horror like tone but it was done perfectly.

Akiko Otsuka has always been a strong pillar for fire animation in the Heroaca franchise, but her work on WHM felt like she took it a level further. The actual battle taking place inside a flame monster allowed her to go extra crazy with the effects.

The first half of the new HeroAca OP is some of the coolest stuff done in the franchise. Sasahara's direction using slow changing lighting and Umakoshi's fantastic supervision (nothing new) makes for an awesome combo.

Aside from Umakoshi and Hayashi greatness, Sakura has probably been most successful at replicating Hori's artstyle. I also love how Takafumi Mitani draws his jaws👌

Just like the last ED, Haruka Iida was ED/SB and Yuki Hayashi was the animation director. Iida once again uses this beautiful grainy filter and accompanied with Hayashi's take on the designs (young Deku😭) makes for an extremely nostalgic ED.

Really cool sequence of mob/crowd drawings in today's Jujutsu Kaisen episode. General consensus is that it's the work of Takafumi Mitani (三谷 高史), the wobbly lines and shading work are really appealing.

Nakamura's trademark fast-paced and bombastic action was a treat to watch as always, but I also really love how his storyboard had a lot of cool visual tricks (AR change, All For One escaping Tenko) that manage to shine in the midst of the craziness in the second half of the OP.

MHA episode was great. Kawabata's storyboards are as strong as usual, the usage of the new ost and the direction in general really gave off this unsettling feeling. Art direction was really good at times too surprisingly.

Once again like last week, we got another surprise storyboard from an artist who hasn't worked on MHA in a long time. Michio Fukuda's (福田 道生 ) board does a really great job at selling the tension of the events once Shigaraki is awake.
