Mae chose the word “興” , pronounced “xīng” and meaning “to rise”. She is both Thai and Chinese and wanted me to write her word using the traditional Chinese script. This word refers to life and how we rise during our lifetime as human beings. #bangkok #Thailand

Prem chose the word “àžȘàž™àžžàžâ€, pronounced “sanuk” and meaning “fun” in Thai. Prem was one of the first friends I made in the slum. He is 12 years old and just knows a few words of English, but more importantly he really wants to communicate and always finds a way. #streetart

May chose the word “Myself”. She told me that sometimes in life you have to be able to rely on yourself, snd it is something she tries to pass on to her son. #bangkok #streetart #StreetartBangkok

Som Chay chose the word Â«Â àž«àž±àž§àč‚àž‚àž™Â Â» , pronounced « Hua-Kown » and meaning « mask ». Som Chay and his wife create traditional Thai masks and have a real passion for it. They showed me their inspiring work before I started painting! #ShareTheWordProject #StreetartBangkok #bangkok

Ooi, the community leader chose the word «Hua-Jai» meaning «heart» in Thai. At 64 years old, she takes time to fetch left-over food from restaurants and hotels, brings it back on a scooter and gives it to those of her community who need it the most. ❀ #ShareTheWordProject

Mouvement - can you spot me in the bottom-left corner? I painted this large mural in a sports hall in Evry-Courcouronnes, South of Paris, and specifically in a low income neighbourhood called “Les Pyramides”. Thank you to @VilledEvryCourc @francejudo @renault_fr

Il y a presque 20 ans, ici mĂȘme a Venoix, je participais pour la premiĂšre fois Ă  la crĂ©ation d’un tifo. C’était le tout dĂ©but de mon Ă©ducation artistique. Je suis honorĂ© d’y peindre une grande fresque aujourd’hui. Merci @OMnk96 et Dudu pour m’avoir pousser depuis le dĂ©but! â€ïžđŸ’™

Josue chose the word “Dios” (God). He told me that when he was younger he suffered an open-heart surgery but thanks to god he survived. It was god’s choice to keep him alive! He now lives in this house with 7 dogs who all look exactly the same.

Kerim chose the word “Vida” (Life). 7 years ago he suffered a terrible illness and his life was in danger. He was close enough to death to really appreciate life today. #ElSalvador #SanSalvador #ShareTheWordProject

Erlinda chose the word “Gatos” (cats). She’s in love with her 2 cats and wanted this wall to be for them. I’ve noticed that Salvadorans have many pets whether they be parrots, cats, dogs and there’s even a guy who walks his squirrel around on a lead! #elsalvador #SanSalvador

Finita chose the word « Esperanza » (hope). She has hope in the future after the rough times her country has been through. These last few decades, many Salvadorans have immigrated to the USA due to the lack of opportunities in their homeland. #elsalvador #sansalvador

Virginia chose the word “FE” (Faith). Religion is very important in this neighbourhood, where people are either Catholic or Protestant. Many houses here become small churches on certain days and Virginia’s house is one of them! #elsalvador #SanSalvador#ShareTheWordProject

Gerson chose the word “Paz” (peace). Las Palmas used to be extremely violent; shootings often took place with neighbouring slums in territorial conflicts. After drastic anti-gang action by the government, the slum and the whole country have become a lot safer. #SanSalvador
