A long time ago in my office @CamVetSchool I sat down and designed a broadly reactive influenza H5 immunogen. It's wonderful to see this turned into a real - and promising - vaccine candidate. Great work led by Chloe Huang and a long list of collaborators

So sad to hear this - Dave was a true trailblazer and a wonderful, unique teacher. I still remember the courses we held together with fondness.
