BREAKING: PRESIDENT TRUMP SAYS OP_CAT IS A “REALLY GREAT SOFT FORK”

OP_CAT was an OPCODE that was removed by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2010 for security reasons. OP_CAT can enable more advanced Bitcoin smart contracts, such as vaults, covenants, and off-chain computation verification. By enabling zero-knowledge proofs, OP_CAT can make trustless (lets say trust-less) Bitcoin bridges possible, allowing other chains to interact with Bitcoin without requiring a centralized intermediary. This is where the issue starts—any zk-provable chain or L2 can achieve this using OP_CAT, and this is not a feature exclusive to Starknet. For OP_CAT to be reintroduced to Bitcoin, Bitcoin would need to be forked. When will this happen? Uncertain. Will it happen at all? Also uncertain. My frustration is not about Starknet scaling Bitcoin; it’s about Starknet prioritizing Bitcoin scaling as if OP_CAT were already active, while neglecting other important matters. As if that weren’t enough, they’ve started working with people who see Ethereum as a scam. Maybe they intend to integrate OP_CAT as soon as it becomes available, believing this will give them an advantage. However, this won’t be an advantage, because once more actively used L2s also adapt OP_CAT, users will still choose the chain where liquidity and activity are highest. If you want to succeed, you need to keep your users, developers, and funders happy. Good technology can only win with a strong community. Its not just about computational integrity, its also about integrity of your behaviors.
