@LucyGoBag I teach miscarriages of justice and that case stands out for so many reasons; the horrific nature of the crime he was accused of, the vulnerability of Stefan and the cynical way he was fitted up for the crime. Even after all this time the lessons haven't been fully learned.

@fleurmeston @LucyGoBag A 2 year DTO is the most serious sentence that can be imposed by the Youth Court. The victim surcharge is an entirely unrelated matter to the severity of the crime committed. It is a mandatory charge imposed at a flat rate in all sentencing hearings.

The day before this happened, my mum's Dr told us she was dying and they were withdrawing all treatment over the next 48 hrs. After this my phone was flooded with sympathy messages from friends and family. I honestly didn't know whether most of them were about Jurgen or mum!

@LucyGoBag I manage all online banking, utility bills, medical appointments and blue badge applications for my elderly neighbours. They're digitally illiterate but otherwise fully competent. It's not right to force people into relying on others with such sensitive information.

Yes, in my eyes. He was an incredible player, winning us trophies and bringing us fans plenty of joy. We may hate how he left and what he did afterwards but that doesn't wipe out what he did wearing that red shirt.
