Wow! More than 500+ turned out to see
@TudorDixon
and our
@MIGOP
ticket in Midland.
Was honored to be the emcee for our rockstar line-up of speakers. Energy, enthusiasm and momentum are all on our side.
We will WIN on November 8!
Great event and great turnout for the next Governor of Michigan,
@TudorDixon
, tonight in Midland.
We need to elect Republicans up and down the ticket this November and set our State back on track!

The Democrat-led MI House refused to condemn Hamas’ terrorist acts and hostage taking.
Now, these lawmakers are calling “ceasefire”.
Hamas shouldn’t get to butcher children then call truce.
This letter is an error & insult to those victims of terror.

NEWS: On Jan. 22, I
#FOIAed
for Robert Gordon's communications the two days before he resigned.
I got an email referencing a separation agreement. I asked the state to hand it over today.
Here's my story:
It was an honor to join
@RepDebDingell
in welcoming
@POTUS
@JoeBiden
to the Garage in Northville today! A sitting President hasn’t visited Northville, Plymouth or Livonia since George W. Bush and Bill Clinton and I was proud to show off our wonderful community. 🇺🇸
The Michigan Democratic Party is tone-deaf to the concerns of parents in our state.
No-one cares more about their children than their parents.
I will always stand with our FAMILIES and advocate that parents have a seat at the table in their children's education.
🧵There is no place and there is no room for discrimination in Michigan or in America, which is why I voted yes on final passage revising the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act.
Dixon hits Whitmer for sidestepping 4 years ago in a debate against
@SchuetteOnDuty
that she wasn't going to pursue a big tax hike.
One of Whitmer's first acts was seeking a 45-cent-per-gallon gas tax hike.
Enjoyed rallying with my
@MIGOP
friends at our State Convention yesterday to formally nominate our winning ticket with

Lots of energy and we are ready to win up and down the ballot in November! Starting at the top with

Honored to have his support and to have worked under his leadership.
I will work hard to continue my passion for service by representing the 95th District.
Read the release here:
The Michigan Democrats just jammed through their latest, unconstitutional gun control bills.
Here I explain why I voted NO on legislation that would violate due process, weaponize our judicial system and not make our communities safer.
We need to make sure
@TudorDixon
Dixon is our next Governor!
Please join us at the Midland Brewing Company next week to meet and support “A Mom on a Mission” who will get our State back on track.
BONUS: MBC has one tasty Oktoberfest and pretzels🍺🥨
It’s almost as if Michigan Democrats weren’t telling the truth when they said their Green New Deal energy legislation would lower costs🙄
Michiganders are going to be left with the bill for reckless progressive policies.
Thanks to
@MI_Republicans
, the state income tax is automatically getting cut, giving ALL Michiganders a pay raise.
Republicans are clear, let’s keep this tax cut in place. Still waiting to hear from our Democrats colleagues…🤐🤐
Despite a lifetime of ugly football, I’ll always be a
@Lions
fan.
So it’s extra-rewarding to see the team dedicate their (only!) win to the
#OxfordStrong
community.
Today, the
#OnePride
is here behind you all.
This week I plan to introduce a resolution to the Michigan House condemning Hamas’ abhorrent attacks against Israeli & U.S. civilians.
It reaffirms that our state stands with Israel and our strong support of Israel’s right to exist.
Yesterday was a special day.
It was an honor to be sworn in on the House floor by a legend of the institution - Clerk Gary Randall with my hand on the family bible, held up by my father.
Visited the Bureau of Elections in Lansing to officially file as a candidate - the good news is we are on the ballot!
But it was very ironic that I had to show an ID to even get IN the building.
You have to show a Photo ID to get ON the ballot but not cast a ballot? 🤨
2024 will be an important year for Michigan. We face serious decisions as a state.
I’m confident Mid-Michigan will help deliver a Republican majority in our State House and a new Republican member of Congress in the 8th District.
Looking forward to working on delivering both.
Happy Halloween from the Michigan House of Representatives!
Decided to dress up as something very spooky that has been haunting our chamber all session long 👻
Feel the need to inform my Democrat colleagues that wind & solar power can’t even generate enough power to run the Chinese battery plant they are giving billions of taxpayer dollars...
More importantly the bad energy bills Michigan Democrats passed will raise everyone’s costs
Late last night, into the early hours of the morning, Michigan Democrats passed legislation that will leave YOU in the dark.
Near midnight, I took to the floor to say why this
#GreenNewDeal
is a bad deal for you.
If we are spending your tax dollars - you deserve to know the risks.
This is even more important when we face a growing threat from China, our greatest global competitor.
This isn’t rhetoric, this is about responsible use of state funds.
Yesterday, Democrats voted to spend $800 million of taxpayer money to develop a Chinese company’s battery plant in Michigan.
Rep. Schuette asked a great question: what happens to that investment if China invades Taiwan next year?
The witness had no answer.
Can’t believe I have to say this, but Michigan should NOT be subsidizing the Chinese Communist Party.
@MI_Republicans
agree, but our Democrat colleagues voted as if they don’t care.
I’ll keep fighting for accountability in our budget and work to protect our national security.
Last Christmas Eve, I asked Santa for the
@Lions
to make the playoffs and Dad to win the election.
Well, I guess I’ll just ask for socks this Christmas...
☀️This week, I’m introducing the “Sunrise Protection Act” to permanently place Michigan on standard time.
⏰ DST is linked with increased heart attacks and car crashes
💤 negative impact on sleep harms school performance.
📜I invite both sides of the aisle to join.
The
@MI_Republicans
caucus has taken a unanimous stand against repealing worker freedom and re-instating costly prevailing wage.
A bad decision to set our state back economically will be fully in the hands of Democrats.
Current Lansing Status:
Senators just voted for legislation that would shut down energy providers in their own district and cause literal billions of dollars in cost increases for the largest employers in the region they represent.
Bizarre & devastating at the same time.
The real engine of the Schuette household is Momma. Celebrated her today - I hosted and cooked,
@SchuetteOnDuty
did the dishes. Pretty sure Mom had a

As a member of the House Appropriations committee, I will be very curious to learn how much of your taxpayer dollars were just spent on that

Super Bowl ad and their explanation on how that :30 provides a good return on investment of state funds.
Glad the
@Lions
didn’t wait another 32 years before their next playoff win.
An experience I will never forget in an unreal atmosphere. Truly love this team. Let’s go get two more!
#onepride
Ranking dead last is not acceptable.
That’s why
@tom_kunse
, the
@MI_Republicans
and I have introduced legislation to bring more accountability to Lansing and give you the transparency in government you deserve.
The Center for Public Integrity ranks Michigan dead last when it comes to accountability and ethics in state government operations. Will a Democratic majority change that or keep with the status quo?
Dixon pointing out Whitmer vetoes, including this summer's gas tax veto, says "part of her policy was to raise the gas tax by 45 cents per gallon. So you'd be paying $5 A gallon for gas right now."
Tragic and heartbreaking news last night at Michigan State.
Today we are all Spartans.
Government must work together with our mental health services and law enforcement to build safer communities in our state. We pray for healing.
Last night was a disappointing end to a very long journey.
But I am SO proud of
@schuetteonduty
, nobody works harder. You will always be my hero and inspiration.
Thank you to ALL the volunteers, supporters and staff. I am so grateful for your support of
#TeamSchuette
Former Bill Schuette also issued a statement: “It’s been a long wait, one challenging for the Sister Survivors, but the MSU Board of Trustees have finally released the important documents I asked for in 2018 concerning the horrific behavior of Larry Nassar."
This is not complicated.
You choose to stand with Israel or you implicitly defend Hamas.
Tragically, the House Democrat Leadership chose the latter and failed the citizens of our state.
🚨WATCH: Michigan House Democrats REFUSE to take up a bipartisan resolution condemning the horrific terrorist attacks by Hamas against innocent Israelis. Democrats have chosen to align themselves with extremists like
@RepRashida
idly stand by in silence as innocent men, women,
What message does this send about where Michigan stands in the face a horrendous atrocity?
Unbelievable that the House Democrat leadership would refuse to denounce the horrendous killings of Hamas.
A moral failure.
House Democrat leadership in the
#mileg
refused to even allow a vote on a resolution condemning Hamas and reaffirming Israel's right to exist.
This is abhorrent. Condemning terrorism shouldn't be a hard decision or a political issue.
Someone should show MI Democrats this graphic on how a bill becomes a law.
Bills in the State House aren’t going through committee, members aren’t recognized to speak - not transparent, not good government.
Sure some way to recognize the 50th anniversary of School House Rock 👎
It was an incredibly rewarding, but taxing 5+ months deployed alongside
@CJTFOIR
and our counterterror missions in the Middle East. Happy to report I’ve made it home in time for the holidays. Grateful for the opportunity to serve
SHOT: In one publication

blame GOP for canceled session in Lansing.

@MIRSnews
Dems canceled session so they could take a trip to the West Coast

The Office of State Representative Bill G. Schuette is open and we are already hard at work.
We have an excellent, diligent, thoughtful team who will do the work to serve the people of the 95th District.
I usually wake up at 5:00 AM but this is my first time out this late/early at our Capitol!
Democrats held us into the early AM to ram through a wasteful budget that places pet projects over schools and infrastructure.
Michigan taxpayers will be left with the bill.
Another Gov. Whitmer’s campaign promise: Expanding the Freedom of Information Act to include the governor’s office and Legislature.
5 year later…?

Read the
@MI_Republicans
plan for ☀️in an op-Ed by
@tom_kunse
and me.
Very concerned with how this legislation impacts Midland & the Great Lakes Bay.
Under this Democrat plan the operations of our local energy providers would be threatened with devastating impact on the area economy.
Those who voted for this plan voted against our region’s future
So let me get this straight:
1️⃣The same Democrat leadership who advocated shutting down our state over COVID
Are Now…
2️⃣Bringing in COVID+ lawmakers in order to have the votes to advance job killing bills.
Blatant hypocrisy.
At least one Democratic member who recently tested positive for COVID will be voting from the House gallery in order to maintain the chamber's 56-54 majority and get the right to work and prevailing wage bills across the finish line.

Gary Glenn was a devoted father, grandfather and community advocate. I am grateful for all his service to our state. I am praying for his family during this difficult time.
Good morning from the Appropriations Committee where we receive notice about votes on billions in spending 15 minutes before the hearing.
This is not good governance.
Heck, this wouldn’t even fly on
@ABCSharkTank
…
Let’s treat our taxpayers with more respect
Late last night, into the early hours of the morning, Michigan Democrats passed legislation that will leave YOU in the dark.
Near midnight, I took to the floor to say why this
#GreenNewDeal
is a bad deal for you.
"The governor knew there was going to be a lawsuit when she decided to give away the catastrophic injury fund ... she gave you those ($400) checks just a little too soon."
Whitmer: Governor doesn't control the MCCA.
Here's my column today on this:
Next stop the

in Milwaukee on the ‘other’ side of Lake Michigan!
Honored to be one of the
@MIGOP
delegates on the credentials committee this week and from the 8th District when we officially nominate Donald J. Trump.
Glad we have a united party ready to win.
Words matter. Leadership matters.
We must speak clearly that we stand with Israel and against terrorism.
The decision by House Democrat leaders to not take up our resolution condemning Hamas and supporting Israel is wrong and a moral abdication of duty.
Legislation moving to the Michigan House could raise your energy bill by $200 per month and give you less reliable energy.
@jasonthayes
breaks down what you and your friends need to know. Learn more:
Just enrolled my House resolution condemning Hamas’ violence against civilians and reaffirming Michigan’s support for Israel.
Pleased to have completely filled the cosponsor list.
Hope tomorrow the Michigan legislature speaks loudly that we stand with Israel.
Today was an emotional day on the House floor, where we welcomed students from
@michiganstateu
in the gallery, honored brave first responders from East Lansing on the House floor and passed a memorial resolution recognizing the tragedy that occurred on campus on Monday evening.
Lyons takes a swipe at the state of Michigan's economy when Jennifer Granholm's time as governor ended. Things were so bad “even she had to leave Michigan to find a job.”
Weather canceled session today, but I was still on hand for an in-person meeting of the House Appropriations Committee today making sure we spend your taxpayer dollars wisely.
Please travel safe and have a Blessed

Detroit AM newsletter: Michiganders outside the Lansing bubble call Democrat tax plan a “joke”.
.50/day isn’t enough for many Michiganders.
Sadly it’s their real plan not a joke. Don’t hit hardworking families & small businesses with the ‘punchline’
We live in a dangerous world. Michigan tax dollars should not be bankrolling the CCP, IRGC or Hamas.
That’s why I proposed requiring a review of any potential malicious use of state attraction funds by any foreign group.
Michigan Democrats remain unconcerned and complacent.
Good side-by-side in

Republicans are in position to take back the majority in November and nobody will out work our team.
