@Agfactchecker @andrewkongslie Yea it has been. It would help a ton if the Association didn’t start canadian genetics at a zero on epds when they cross the border. That would open a lot of new bloodlines to explore

@TheNovelist Don’t confuse my statement for wanting a skinny bull. There’s a difference between muscle and fat, and programs that develop for muscle instead of fat…just seems to be exponential growth in the latter for sale in recent years

@KathyFortune9 Oh yea i get it. I’d hate to have to develop yearlings… Its easy not to do when you’ve only ever sold 2 yr olds…dont have that problem of finding a sweet spot i guess.

@QShieldknight We essentially do the same thing, but they are closer to 2yrs than 18months when we sell em

@855horsepower1 Wondering this? No. I’ve wondered it forever. Our program is growing coming 2 yr olds slowly and naturally in our given environment…so this pondering is engrained in my thinking

@frankld79 Nice to see used cattle pens still on the place. Drove through saskatchewan a few years ago and seen a lot of unused cattle facilities on places that just went straight grain
