Congratulations to Vashti Harrison for winning the 2024 Caldecott Medal for her best-selling picture book, BIG. With this win, Vashti became the first Black woman to win the Caldecott Medal, and we are so proud of her!

Calling all picture book authors! 🥳 There will be two selected winners this year: one for fiction, one for nonfiction. Each winner will receive a $1000 grant to encourage the development of an excellent picture book manuscript.
