@Morbidful Carey Birmingham got such a light sentence because the jury believed he acted in a “sudden passion” after discovering that his wife was having an affair. Secondly, he had no criminal records and his daughter testified that he never abused his wife.

"Alright, goodbye. You're (going to) meet Jesus," Carey Birmingham told his wife, Patricia Birmingham, before he shot her with his gun outside their home in Spring. "I hope it was worth it," he said. The shooting happened while the couple's daughter, Olivia, was at school. "I lost both my parents that day. My dad died that day, too, because the person who did that to my mom and my father aren't the same person," Olivia said. This is Patricia Birmingham

She was also ejected and was hanging on a powerline. An Idaho teenager, 16-year-old Kennedy Littledike broke up with her boyfriend on May 22, 2021. To clear her mind and ease the turmoil in her heart, she decided to go watch the sunset with two of her friends. On their way back home, Kennedy who was driving allowed her emotions to overcome her; she started sobbing and quickly lost control of the vehicle. The car swerved to the left side of the road and hit a telephone pole. Image: circled in red was Kennedy Littledike hanging on the powerline Kennedy was ejected from the car and propelled 30 feet into the air, and as she fell, her left femur caught the powerline. She was left hanging for more than an hour before help came. The powerline saved her life as the main artery in her leg was pinched off by the powerline and then the main artery in her arm was cauterized when she got electrocuted. Now, she is 19 and uses her story to inspire others not to give up on life.

On April 15, 2023, 20-year-old Kaylin Gillis and her friends were on their way to their friend's house in Hebron, New York, when they missed the road and entered the wrong driveway. Realizing their mistake, they quickly reversed their vehicle to leave the premises. Sadly, this was when the owner of the driveway, Kevin D. Monahan, came out armed with his gun. He opened fire, even though they were already trying to leave. One of the bullets hit Gillis and before the emergency response team could arrive, she had lost her life after a failed CPR performed by her friends. Monahan's trial began on January 8, 2024. On January 23, 2024, he was found guilty of second-degree mu*rder. Subsequently, on March 1, 2024, he received a sentence of 25 years to life in prison.

Another story: On June 3, 2022, three-year-old Ryker Webb was playing with his dog when he decided to take a walk on his own and wandered off. After two hours of his disappearance, the family reported him missing. A massive search for Ryker was launched, and for two days the search team made no progress. On June 5th, 2022, a family that was visiting their remote cabin in the middle of the wilderness heard the sound of a little boy crying out from behind a shed. When they went behind the shed, they found Ryker Webb. Ryker was found tucked into a lawnmower bag. He was dressed in a light blue onesie that had been covered in dirt. They quickly called the police and were shocked when they learned that a massive search for Ryker had been going on. He survived two days in Montana wilderness in near-freezing temperatures in an area that according to locals is heavily populated with bears and mountain lions.

When police arrived at the couple's home, they found what they believed to be the words 'Death Parde God Hell' scrawled on the door.  A naked Johnson allegedly ran out of the home and told police his wife was dead before running back inside to take a bath. Johnson told police his wife died at about 8.30am but he waited several hours to call 911 because he wanted to make sure she was dead. The cause of Debra's death is listed as methamphetamine toxicity.

Larry Don McQuay who later confessed to 240 cases of child molestation was caught molesting a 6-year-old child in San Antonio, Texas, in the early 1990s. While in prison, he begged to be surgically castrated. "Hell is not enough to keep me from re-offending" he declared. Finally, he was surgically castrated in 2005 and has not re-offended. Because of this, offenders can now ask to be surgically castrated in Texas.

On October 1, 2021, Megan Imirowicz got angry with her father, Konrad Imirowicz, because he was too drunk to drive her to her hair salon appointment just days before her 18th birthday. Angered by this, Megan procured lye, a strong chemical that can burn objects when mixed with water. On that fateful day, Megan mixed lye and water and poured the solution on her father as he slept in his Groveland Township home in Michigan. Hours later, he was found by a neighbor who called 911. In July 2023, Megan who had been locked up in jail following Konrad's death was tried and convicted of domestic violence and unlawful possession of a chemical irritant causing dea-th While everyone expected her to get sentenced to several years in prison, Megan was sentenced to only a year in prison and received credit for the years she had served in jail, meaning she was released immediately after her sentencing. She received such a light sentence because the judge believed she was remorseful.

A New York doctor took his estranged wife to court to demand she give him his kidney back - or pay him $1.5million in compensation. Dr. Richard Batista - a prominent Long Island vascular surgeon, Cornell graduate, and father of three - gave his wife his kidney when she suffered renal failure in 2001 in a desperate bid to save her life - and, ironically, their marriage. But, though his wife, Dawnell Batista lived, the marriage failed. 'There is no deeper pain you can ever express than betrayal from someone who you loved and devoted your whole life to,' Dr Batista said. Doctor Richard Batista claimed that his wife was cheating on him 2 years after the transplant. Sadly for Richard, he lost the court case and didn’t get back his kidney or the money he demanded. According to the verdict handed down to him, “marital property” covers a wide range of things, but human tissues or organs are not among them. It further said that Richard Batista’s effort to extort money from his wife in exchange for the kidney he gave was not only illegal, but it could lead to criminal prosecution.

This is a photo taken in 1952 of two best friends who were caught by the cops at night in Chicago. They often sneaked out of their homes at night to ride the L train. The boys were James Davis, 5, who was black, and Ronald Sullivan, 8, who was white. At the station, James Davis fell asleep on a chair while Ronald Sullivan kept watch over him. They looked like brothers who cared for each other, despite their different skin colors.

22-year-old German national, Shani Louk, had been attending the festival near the Kibbutz Re'im in Israel when gunmen opened fire and sent terrified partygoers fleeing through the desert. More than 260 people were killed, while others were taken hostage. Soon after the attack, a video began circulating widely on social media, showing the body of a young woman being paraded through the streets in the back of a flatbed truck, surrounded by armed fighters and others yelling "Allahu Akbar" (God is Greatest). Sadly, that was Shani. Recently, she has been confirmed dead as a DNA sample taken from part of a skull bone proved to be Shani's. This shows they beheaded her after parading her on the street.

In the early 1990s, Brazilian photojournalist Sebastião Ribeiro Salgado was stationed in Rwanda to cover the genocide, an experience that left him traumatized. In 1994, upon returning to his home in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Sebastião hoped to find solace in the lush green forest of his childhood, but instead, he discovered that his home had transformed into a dusty, barren land stretching for miles, devoid of any wildlife. "The land was as sick as I was. Only about 0.5% of the land was covered in trees," he remarked. It was at this time that his wife, Lélia Deluiz Wanick Salgado, proposed that they embark on the ambitious journey of replanting the entire forest. Sebastião supported the idea, and together, over the course of the next 20 years, they planted an astonishing 2.7 million trees. Their efforts resulted in the rejuvenation of 1,500 acres of rainforest, and the site eventually became home to 293 plant species, 172 bird species, and 33 animal species, some of which were on the brink of extinction.

A 26-year-old West Virginia man, Henry Vincent Bennett, was arrested in 2018 after his three-year-old daughter told her mother that daddy was putting his butt on her butt. When asked to draw the butt, the young girl produced the shape of a peni*s. Bennett had s*exually assaulted his daughter twice before she reported him. He claimed he mistook the toddler for his wife after she climbed into his bed in the dark. How in the world would a sane grown man mistake a three-year-old girl weighing 30 pounds with a 24-year-old woman. He was sentenced to at least 50 years in prison before he would be eligible for parole.
