When we donât understand whatâs going or or how to help, thatâs not the time for a therapist to *do* anything. Itâs time to be present, keep listening to what emerges, and if needed, seek consultation. A sign of an expert therapist is the ability to tolerate uncertainty

I love the analysts who embrace their imperfect humanity. Those who canât own that publicly are the problem w the field, imo. Iâd call that âcontained neutrality as false selfâ
