Building Branch has been an awesome learning experience. It's the first project I ever built from idea to production, and I did it in less than 2 months as a "nontechnical" person I learned a TON. I already had experience working on frontend, but I was an absolute backend noob. It was the most I'd ever worked with Python (previously only "Hello World"), and it was my first time working with PostgreSQL and API integration (Claude & Stripe). Whenever I’d get stuck on a problem, I’d just tell myself “skill issue” and it always fucking worked For now, Branch is going to be a side project that I'll go back to every now and then to update, but I'm extremely happy with how it came out. More importantly, I'm happy I built something I personally wanted to see in the world, and I made my first internet money with it, so that's also cool. 10/10 experience Time to build something bigger
Introducing Branch! Your canvas that helps you learn anything you want and discover new connections along the way After months of using Claude and ChatGPT for learning, I became frustrated with their linear chat format. When exploring complex topics, I wanted to branch out in multiple directions and see how everything connected So I built Branch—a visual learning tool that helps you see how everything connects. Start with any topic, and watch your knowledge grow and branch out in beautiful new directions

History keeps teaching us the same lesson about human potential: Printing press: Book costs fell 300x in 50 years. Literacy stayed low for centuries Public libraries: Free knowledge for all. Most never step inside Internet: Publishing cost went from millions to zero. Most stayed consumers Smartphones: Everyone has a creation studio in their pocket. Most scroll passively The tools get better. Humans stay the same

@wordgrammer The obvious ideas are the hardest to execute, which is why they linger on the sidelines. They bounce from vessel to vessel until finding their destined partner
