They reached out to their Host that they stayed with when they were in SASH and asked her if she'd carve and personalise some pumpkins for their Halloween wedding. #Halloween #Halloween2024 #Wedding

This week’s SASH Star Supporter is a dog called Sierra who would have been turning 5 today. Sierra’s owner, Hannah, joined the SASH fundraising team back at the start of October. Sadly, Sierra passed away suddenly during Hannah’s first week with us. In honour of the wonderful Sierra and to celebrate her life, Hannah set up a SASH fundraiser on Just Giving where she raised £700 for us! Hannah said “She was the most incredible dog who loved people. I am so proud of her for raising £700 for SASH and take comfort in knowing that a sad time for us will improve the life of a young person.” ⭐ You can check out more of our SASH Star Supporters here - #SASH #Fundraising #sashstarsupporters

The Yorkshire Coast 10K. 🏆💚 Just over a week ago was the Yorkshire Coast 10k in Scarborough. Despite the wet and windy weather, a handful of amazing people ran it for SASH. You may have spotted on the @BBCBreaking yesterday the unveiling of the new installation of Long Boi. @UniOfYork with the help of @gregjames organised a final send off for Long Boi who passed away last year and have now installed a statue on the York University campus so his presence can live on! One of the SASH offices is actually located at the Science Park at the University of York so we are looking forward to going onto campus next week to check out the wonderful Long Boi statue for ourselves!
