Having worked outside Nagaland for many years I’ve not had the opportunity to attend as many Hornbill festivals as I would’ve liked. This is my favourite photo from Hornbill Festival 2022. It’s not everyday you get to sip on local rice beer while sitting with a group of nuns! 😇

Stumbled upon a reunion concert on YouTube of the band Live, who I listened to during teenage years. Selling the drama, Lightning Crashes. Their album Throwing Copper is right up there among favourites from that era. Looking at the crowd at the gig, it’s mostly 40 year olds!😄

@17_mapleleaf I care too about possible misleading depictions of Nagaland, but after having watched the series, I think it’s a very good effort. Yes, it focuses on the less pleasant aspects of our reality, but I still think Paatal Lok season 2 is worthy of all the accolades it’s been getting

I think so too. I get what @RobinTemsu is saying, but I still think this portrayal is a refreshing change from the usual exotic, mysterious magical northeast. While the current portrayal may not represent the whole picture, for me it still is a more genuine representation of our ground reality. Chiming in with my two cents 🤓
