@dekrugerxiv @thisuselessguy @WarrenRcomedian I'll always consider myself African. Don't know anything about Gauteng, I'm a Capie. We did squeeze in, my parents bought someone's small back garden and built on it; the small house my hubby and I bought had a tiny yard. The challenges of living on a peninsula with little land.

@Goosey30111568 Because you can have HIV for 10-15 years with no symptoms. In this case it may just all be theatre. (And, he has been married for 18 years).

@IanCopeland5 What I am more interested in, is why 1 in 5 with measles is hospitalised. When I was a kid, everyone got the measles at some point, no-one went to hospital, everyone recovered just fine.

@iykecharles316 @DefundedRobocop @RupertLowe10 I'll never put it past institutions to have financial motives, but you'll notice my 1st two questions are about why British students are not applying .. those were my first thoughts. CompSci certainly should be more popular!

@iykecharles316 @Joshuajee0x @DefundedRobocop @RupertLowe10 Well, some foreign students are apparently, as Mr Lowe found spending on scholarships for foreign students. What was your bachelors like as regards British students?

@iykecharles316 @DefundedRobocop @RupertLowe10 I'm not, you are reading into my motives. I am simply asking questions, wondering why British universities are filled with foreign students instead of natives.

@iykecharles316 @DefundedRobocop @RupertLowe10 I would think British universities should primarily be for British students. If they're filled up with foreigners, something is amiss. Do British students not want to take these classes? Can they not afford them? Or are they just rejected in favour of higher-paying students?

@kimheller3 Words and corresponding actions have power. Esp. when there are strong emotions behind them. Even if those people don't act on the words, the energy goes into the collective consciousness and someone will act on them. No surprise so many farmers are killed in SA, white & black.

@MoniFunGirl You don't expect others to believe you have somehow changed your gender, nor do you see it that way. We don't give a hoot if you wear a dress or makeup.

@MeghanEMurphy Those who post porn will be marked NSFW. You can change your settings so you don't see sensitive content. Plus, block anyone who shows up on your feed posting porn, and it will go away. I don't see any porn here any more.

@MrMokeretla @Chabe_kgalalelo It was then easy to let go all of that subconsious nonsense, and date this person. (I ended up breaking up with him months later for unrelated reasons, that is another story). /end

@MrMokeretla @Chabe_kgalalelo Finally I found a subconscious belief that if my family didn't support me, I would not be able to fulfill my purpose. (Also untrue). So .. if I dated a black man I would not be able to fulfill my purpose! Motherlode, I had hit the problem. /5

@MrMokeretla @Chabe_kgalalelo Then I found a subconscious belief that if I dated a man outside my race, my family would not support me. I have no idea where this came from, it is patently untrue. So I tried to let that one go, it wouldn't go. /4

@MrMokeretla @Chabe_kgalalelo Nothing applied, so I circled back to him being black. I found a subconscious belief that inter-race relations are immoral, which I had obviously installed as a protective mechanism to keep myself out of jail. So I tried to let it go, it had no use any more. It would not go. /3

@MrMokeretla @Chabe_kgalalelo At first my thought was, is this because he is black? Of course not, said my conscious mind, I was brought up to see people for themselves, not their race. Then I went through all the other reasons I might be avoiding a relationship. /2

@MrMokeretla @Chabe_kgalalelo Apartheid itself damaged white people. For instance, the Immorality Act. We could also get thrown in jail for inter-race relations. Years later, when a US black man was interested in dating me, and I liked him but found myself not calling him back, I had to get introspective. /1

@iamkoshiek There are apparently over 600 US businesses that operate in SA. I wonder how many of them will pull out if there are sanctions. Last time the US had sanctions against SA, many jobs were lost when e.g. car companies closed factories. Unemployment is high enough as it is.
