I respect Brian a ton, but I was literally buying coffee with USDC on Solana for less than a cent and usually in less than a few seconds, just a few weeks ago in Amsterdam. Bought a shit ton of coffee lmao.
We're working hard to make paying with crypto the best way to pay online. It's gotten faster and cheaper to send global payments with Base. Now we need to remove more intermediate steps. In the ideal world, every payment is under 1 second and 1 cent, and it's a one tap checkout.

If you're a NFT project that is supposed to start your mint today I strongly, strongly, recommend you delay until Solana validator clock drift is fixed. If the cluster time is wrong you could have all sorts of timing issues resulting in your users being hit with anti-bot fees.

Metaboss 0.35.0 has new snapshot commands that use the DAS API instead of gPA calls. It should be significantly faster for normal sized collections. Thanks to @heliuslabs for excellent DAS support on both devnet and mainnet and for a generous free tier that let me do lots of.

Just ordered the Solana Saga, this is by far the most money I've ever spent on a smart phone so hopefully it's as good as expected. Almost time to say goodbye to my trusty OnePlus 5T which I've been rocking for 5+ years.
