I personally didn't have a portfolio for my first few clients, as my sample videos replaced that. But portfolio can just be your sample videos (step 2) put on your website (step 1) and a note saying they're sample videos, not paid. I also found 99% of networking to come from my sample videos.

@sweepwhale Only around 200-300 ish from that email, I write an email using lots of copywriting techniques that digs into pain points and then positions the video as the solution, listing it's selling points etc.
