Differences in word usage has led to much misunderstanding of scientific concepts. 'Fitness' in evolution bio means how well an organism 'fits' in an ecosystem rather than strength. Eg, where food is scarce, small animals are 'fitter' than big ones as they need less food.

Africa is very diverse and complex. As kenyan kikuyu, I understand approx 25 % isizulu de novo, yet Zulus are 4000 km away but almost 0% Maasai language 20km away. PseudoAfrica experts stop saying "In Africa bla bla...". African countries, regions, & villages are very varied.

Think language -we know latin evolved to french, Portuguese, spanish, Romanian & Italian... but there is no point in history when latin suddenly became french. These are continuous tiny changes. In 200 yrs time most languages will be very different from today
