Coutinho won’t be the world class player that left for £143million. I think/hope he’ll be a fantastic player though and an improvement on our attacking options. AEG - not good enough. Trez - kept us up & works hard but not good enough. Traore - frustratingly inconsistent.

The blame 100% lies with Gerrard! He knew the squad and in my opinion hasn’t added much in terms of upgrades. Carlos looks similar to mings. Kamara looks decent but the other 9 are the same 9 that let him the club down a lot last season! Terrible performance again!

The lack of minutes pre season for Buendia & Bailey is a slight concern. Hopefully they both train this week & make the bench Saturday. I can see Young being used as a wide man in the 1st few weeks. I’d like possibly a back up GK and a deep CM. Bidace looks very promising.
