The ceasefire and hostage deal @POTUS announced is the product of intensive American diplomacy. It will halt the fighting in Gaza, help Palestinians begin to recover and rebuild, and reunite hostages with their loved ones. After so much heartbreak, it also offers Israelis and Palestinians alike a path to begin healing – and to a future free of Hamas. I call on the UN Security Council and world to unite in supporting its immediate and full implementation.
