Great. Now let’s create some vertices from scratch.

Now let’s try creating new geometry from scratch. In Edit Mode, I have deleted all the vertices in the Default Cube, so we are basically left with an empty mesh object.

So that’s how we go about modifying existing geometry.

Turns out, when a BMesh object is freshly initiated, the indices aren’t kept ready by default. In order to build the index table, we need to run the ensure_lookup_table() before trying to access individual elements. #b3d
