You do realize that jumping in to save someone’s LIFE is the bare minimum especially when doing teamwork right??
although sasuke isn’t as expressive as everyone else, there were subtle hints that he liked sakura. even going as far as to risk his life for her, during their first mission he jumped Infront of her to protect her and during the chunin exams he broke someone’s arms for her.
