@devarbol But I didn't dispute the usefulness of it. I disputed your assertion that it will be smarter than humans, not that it won't be useful or that it will not have a profound effect on industry. These are two quite different claims.

@devarbol I ran regressions at work and making predictions about macroeconomic phenomena almost every day dude. How much do you think the latest LLMs have been helpful for my job? You are not honest with yourself if you go to your chat history and don't get the impression it's mediocre.

@devarbol People have these fantasies about AI, but every time I use it, I become less and less impressed. If you ask a 5 year old, there's a chance he can come up with an original idea, but an LLM will never.
