@Audrey_Molloy Don't know why I assumed it was a live event in London, then that it was in Ireland. Now Australia!! I'm swimming in wider oceans than I thought. But hello! Good to meet you. Saw your posts about the Peter Porter Prize. I was lucky to see him read at Stirling Uni in the 1980s!!

Lovely poem, Niall. I love 'Death's ship is only partly laden.' And especially, 'The heart carries on as though the body was swimming'. For me this is wonderfully expressive of how grief feels.
Another six line poem for Friday. I was reading Hemingway and he mentioned a turtle's heart continues beating for hours after death - I then found a study showing some kept working for up to five days. How could that be passed up?

@andrewwoodroffe Let's celebrate the amazing imagination/energy of this man. He shows there are many ways to be in this world and the amazing things the human body and spirit are capable of. More power to him. Running is basic, ancient and noble and transcends the world of competitive racing
