A customer brought in some pretty sandhills ladies yesterday...
Will have some pen space available this fall/winter incase anyone is looking to place some cattle. Will do finishing or backgrounding. Competitive feed/yardage costs. Taken care of the right way. DM for more info.
Sent a few more ladies down the road today. Feed conversion has improved quite a bit since the ones shipped in January. No deads, no pulls, a fun set of heifers to feed!😎
80 some year old fat broker is driving around in the blizzard today looking at cattle. he said its going to get colder than billy hell and the markets going green!
Well today started not so good when hay grinder called n said his clutch blew up. Then got better when we found another guy who was in the area. But then got shitty again when he started the motor and blew oil cap off cause engine was full of hydraulic oil........
@ChanceJPopham1
talk to an agronomist and see what the stalks are worth in terms of nutrients... alot of times you can buy them cheaper than what its worth to take that off your own ground
@clintwfischer
If its a large profitable operation why wouldnt one of the hired men take the opportunity, Might tell you something about the operator if his help isnt interested.
Finally froze up enough last night to be able to smooth the yards up today.... was fairly muddy before this last snow storm. Things sure got pretty rough.

Doesnt look like bare dirt?, looks like they did a pretty decent job of leaving a little. Would be alot more bare if they cut silage. Guys are going to do what they gotta do to get some cheaper roughage to go with the overly high priced grass and alfalfa. 🤷♂️
