At this point, they have to really either sign him to an extension or sell him high. Just do something. It’ll be a total failure if he signs somewhere else during the offseason and we lose him for nothing
If the isles are “retooling” then you’re keeping Brock Nelson. Make him an Islander for life. Guy is averaging over 30 goals a year, you add around a guy like that you don’t get rid of him. If you’re rebuilding this whole franchise then that’s a different story. You’ve got 6 years of Barzy Horvat and Sorokin left.. you have to try and make this team a contender right now. Worst PP maybe in the history of the league, shipping out your best goal scorer makes no sense to me if you’re trying to win in the next couple years with this core group.
